Barefaced Audio SR12.3
Ultra-high output multi-purpose compact PA speaker
Our first sound reinforcement product will be a compact 3-way design, using a high-excursion 12" woofer, a very high-sensitivity 6.5" midrange and a rather nice horn tweeter. Approximate size should be 24" high x 13.5" wide x 13.5" deep. Approximate weight should be under 35lbs. So that's 600mm x 340mm x 340mm. Best used with an amp that puts out 500-1000W per channel into 8 ohms.
To get absolute maximum output for the money the cabs should be used with a Crown XTi, with a 12.3 model specific DSP profile with EQ/compression/filtering. With a generic power amp with no EQ they will exhibit smooth extended response and very high max SPL with low distortion and be able to play approximately 6dB louder than typical PA speakers of similar size. A library of patches for other outboard or integrated DSPs will be provided.
The aim is for a pair of these cabs to have enough output and bottom for smaller gigs without any subs being required, to be used for for reproduction of recorded music for DJs that don't need a full on tops plus subs rig but want that feel and bottom to their sound, and for venues which also don't want a big rig with subs (so bars that have DJs and occasional live music) but are tired of the weedy tinny tone of typical plastic PA tops. Their shallow profile makes them ideal for mounting flush on venue walls whilst their wide dispersion and deep clean sound means that fewer speakers are required to cover the room evenly, and that depth and fatness to the lows means that music sounds better and more real at lower volume, hence fewer problems from neighbours, and less trouble trying to be heard when you're ordering a drink.

Radical 2-way standmount/bookshelf hi-fi speaker
This compact hi-fi speaker / passive studio monitor continues with the Barefaced habit of turning convention on its head. By taking the latest developments in home audio and rethinking them to make them applicable to smaller British and continental European homes the SS1 aims to provide a dynamic lively and overwhelmingly accurate sound which is minimally affected by wall reflections, even in a very small room. A true full-range standmount speaker it can also be paired with subwoofers in a home cinema system to increase the max SPL and bass extension to handle movie effects, whilst the carefully controlled polar pattern ensures that everyone gets as similar a listening experience as possible. And as this speaker isn't so small you can ignore it entirely, it's available in a number of different finishes to suit your home decor.
